Den Artikel 38 vum Policegesetz vum 18te Juli 2018 gesäit vir, datt Gemengeconseilleren am “Comité de prévention communal” kënne bedeelegt ginn.  An enger Circulaire vum 25ten Abrëll 2025 huet den Inneministère d’Wichtegkeet vun dëse Comitéë fir d’ëffentlech Sécherheet ënnerstrach. Dobäi gëtt betount, datt dës Comitéen eng partizipativ a konstruktiv Zesummenaarbecht tëscht Gemengen a Police solle garantéieren. Dëst ass am Sënn vun enger breeder demokratescher Bedeelegung. Verschidde Gemengen, wéi Suessem, sinn an deem Kontext positiv ervirzehiewen, well hei souguer Oppositiounspolitiker am Comité sëtzen. Aner Gemengen, dorënner zum Beispill Péiteng, maachen dëst net.
